1) What is Google AdSense?

Google AdSense is a contextual CPC program. This means that you when you place AdSense units on your blog or web site, Google will display relevant picture, text or video ads within the ad units. Every time one of the ads is clicked, you get paid

2) How much do I get paid per click?

This depends on how much the advertiser is bidding. The amount of money you receive per click can be as little as $0.01 or as much as a couple dollars. In general terms, web sites related to celebrities, gaming or MySpace resources are on the low end of spectrum, while the subjects of insurance, web hosting and investing usually receive a higher amount per click. However, keep in mind that the amount of total revenue you generate is going to be based on how much targeted traffic you can drive to your web site.

3) Can I use Google AdSense on blogs?

Yes, Google AdSense can be very profitable when properly integrated into a blog.

4) How can I get more people to click my ads?

One of the most effective ways increase your CTR (click-through rate) is by blending your AdSense units. Google allows you to choose the color of the ad unit background and border, along with the ad title, description and URL.

Blending is the practice of matching the background and border color of an ad unit to the background color of your web page, along with matching the ad title, description and URL colors to those on your web page. This makes visitors much more likely to click your ad units because they look like another element of your web site.

5) Can I place pictures next to my ad unit?

Although Google has stated that you cannot line up pictures next to your ad units, you can still create a background for your ad unit by using a shape or design and CSS.

Don’t be afraid to try out new things with your AdSense ad units. If you are not sure whether an idea complies with the AdSense Terms of Service, all you have to do is e-mail AdSense support and ask for their opinion! Google Adsense has taken the Internet community by storm. Especially the webmasters, web developers and web marketers. People across the net and across the world are making money with it.

I use Google Adsense myself and therefore nobody has to assume that this article is written out of vengeance and all. In my good months I have made the kind of money I still cherish as one of the happiest phases of my life. My team leader Sylvia White would make $1000 from adsense alone, again in her good months. And its no feat by any standard.

But over a period of time as I have discovered the real meaning and impact of `niche’ marketing or product, I have understood how adsense can come in the way and hit it hard.

Adsense are ads of other webmasters on our sites which google provides us, after we register for the program. Its free to join Google Adnse. Everytime our visitor clicks on the adsense ads we get paid for it. Your money builds up. Cent by Cent. And becomes $1000 at the end of the month. WOW!

The One paragraph above says it all. You just have to read, and read between the lines carefully.”Everytime our visitor clicks on the adsense ads we get paid for it”. Our visitors. Click on Adsense ads. Please understand that you as a webmaster or web marketer are burning midnight oil to draw more traffic to you website. We make all sorts of efforts like reading, checking out the latest happenings by visiting forums, working through various complicated alogrythms of Search Engine Ranking and so on. All this to generate more traffic. Right? More traffic is nothing but more visitors. And when this visitor finally comes to your site he clicks on the adsense ads. Finish!

Do you notice how you are channelising your efforts? Why should you let your visitor go away to soemeone for a few cents? May be you can offer similar product yourself on your website and make 100 times higher commission from it.

You are making efforts to attract your target audience to your website in so many ways. If your site is about music you are spending time on link building campaigns, writing music related articles, posting in music related forums, blogging music and so on. All this so that finally a visitor related to your subject reaches your site. For what? That also you are ready with. Best offers for your niche audience. Best downlaods, contests, products to suit your niche audience. If you are yoruself a composer you are selling your compositions or whatever

RSS feeds are a great communication medium, and when properly managed, web feeds can bring in significant Internet traffic. RSS feeds should contain compelling themed content with episodic titles that are united in common broad theme. Use RSS feeds as an online marketing and search engine optimization tool. Just as optimizing an HTML web page will increase exposure, so too will an RSS feed that is properly optimized and promoted.

Use these simple tips to improve your web feed exposure.

Channel TitleThe channel title in your RSS feed is one of the most important aspect. The channel title should be keyword rich and contain information related to the general theme of the RSS feed. In order to maximize compatibility with RSS readers, it is best not to include any HTML in the channel title. The channel title is a website visitors first glimpse at the RSS feed, so its important to make an impression and attract the interest of casual browsers. Additionally, many of the RSS feed directories and search engines use the information contained in the RSS feed’s channel title and description to index the feed. In order for the feed to be properly categorized, it is important that the information contained in these fields be relevant to the contents contained in the feed. If included at all, the blog, brand, or company name should be at the end not the beginning of the RSS feed channel title.

Channel DescriptionThe channel description field provides an opportunity to expand on the broad theme of the RSS feed. The channel description should contain related keywords and phrases, but it should be written to capture the interest of readers not search engine spiders. HTML can be used to decorate and emphasize specific text in the description field. In summation the channel description should provide a compelling overview of the RSS feed’s contents.

RSS Feed Item TitlesThe item titles should be 50-75 characters with spaces. In order to increase readability and compatibility with news readers, the RSS feed item titles should not be encoded with any HTML. Think of an RSS feed item title in the same way that you would a webpage title. The RSS feed item title is your opportunity to capture the interest of your reader. Really an RSS feed item title is nothing more than a headline. The most effective item titles are calls to action that grab the readers attention. Include pertinent keywords or keyword phrases in the items title and this will help any individuals doing deep feed searches for specific content.

Optimize RSSOptimize all aspects of the web feed. While the feed should be optimized for search engines, using the same techniques a webmaster uses on a website, the optimization should not be at the readers expense. The content in an RSS feed is often what leads readers to click or not click through. Readers will judge RSS feeds on the quality of the content. This means that grammar and punctuation do matter. Consistent grammatical errors will reduce the writers credibility and the number of subscribers.

Anchor TextUsing RSS feeds, publishers have the unique opportunity to determine the anchor text that will be used to link to internal website pages. RSS feeds are often syndicated, and even more often compelling feed items will often be re posted by other publishers. With that in mind, when including links back to a website in the item description field, use anchor text that is a relevant keyword or phrase. Anchor text is one factor that search engines use in determining a website’s ranking for specific keywords and phrases.

Number of Feed ItemsRoutinely prune the old items in an RSS feeds and archive the content contained in the feed to ensure that feeds load quickly in RSS readers. If you are using a third party service to host your feeds, keep in mind that FeedBurner will truncate or not display RSS feeds that it finds to be too large.

Heading TagsIf you are displaying an RSS feed as an HTML web page it makes sense to use H1 or H2 tags to display the RSS feed’s item titles. If the RSS feed is optimized, the website will benefit from the keyword emphasis by using the header tags.

RSS Feed URLsAs with HTML web pages, the URLs contained in an RSS feed should contain keywords if possible. Use hyphens not underscores, to separate the keywords in the RSS feed’s URL.

Add an ImageConsider adding an image to your RSS feed to enhance its appearance in an RSS reader. The image should be no large 144×400 and it is recommended that the image be 88×31. Most RSS readers will display the feed image above the feed contents, this is a great way to reinforce brand and establish brand recognition. Additionally you can add images to the RSS feed’s description field. In all cases, it is important that the full URL to the image be referenced, because if the feed is syndicated it will report a broken image if its attempting to retrieve it locally.

Some of the RSS feed directories use the feed’s website favorite icons to flag the RSS feed. The RSS feeds containing a favorite icon stand out from others in the directories so be sure to include a favicon in the domain’s root directory. RSS feeds are a great marketing tool, but like web pagesArticle Submission, they must be optimized so that you can reap the full marketing benefits. Taking the time to implement some basic optimization tips will steadily increase your RSS feeds exposure.

I have found that applying for Google’s Adsense and being accepted affects how quickly you’re indexed and how soon you start ranking highly.

I know Google claims that having Adsense on a page does not give you any advantage over pages that don’t. But wait a minute, think like a business person.

Does it make sense for you to NOT put sites that make you money in places where they can make you more money? I bet it doesn’t. I know Google has been penalizing worthless sites that have Adsense on — This does not still dislodge my argument.

Think of it this way.

Trashy sites with Adsense hurt Google’s reputation on the long run and that’s not good for their business. That’s a commonsense business decision. You don’t want your business to be associated with folks and businesses of objectionable characters.

High value content sites enhance Google’s product. However, not all high value pages are easily picked due to the simple fact that many less quality pages are better optimized. And guess what?

Google is not looking for the most well-optimized sites, it is looking for pages with the most relevant and high value content. So, when an “un-indexed” and unranked high-value content site applies for Adsense Google is simply given an opportunity to see a great site that it has not yet added to its database.

And believe me, Google is in business to expose the best sites. And would they pass on an opportunity to improve the search results for a particular keyword? I beg to disagree.

If you have built up to 30 great pages within a week you can expedite your indexing and ranking with Google by applying for Adsense even if you already have an account or don’t even intend to use it.

Accepting a publisher depends on the quality of the site they enter while applying. And if a site is accepted as good enough for Adsense, Google considers it good enough for its database.

I’ve tried it. It works if you have a great new site.
